National Guard/Watt-Ahh Race Boat
For friends and family of military soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, a radio shout-out will be broadcast live around the world by the Department of Defense and Armed Forces Radio during the 2011 Super Boat Grand Prix Festival in Sarasota, Florida.
Nationally syndicated radio celebrity, Matt Bruce of the Captains America Show, will be broadcasting shows from Centennial Park located on 10th Street on Friday afternoon, July 1st and the shout-out on Saturday, July 2nd between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. with a live microphone outside the National Guard/Watt-Ahh® tent for the people stopping by to send their messages to our military.
Come down to enjoy the National Guard venues for kids of all ages, and meet the local race team, Scott Brown and Eddie Tambarino of J&S Motorsports, who won the World Championship for Production Class 3 last year.
“Our troops motivate all of us to do our best in competition,” said Rob Gourley of Sarasota, who is a mechanic and Watt-Ahh® sponsor for the race boat.
“Last year’s shout-out gave us a good feeling of connection to the troops who should all be remembered during Independence Day”.
