Turtle Beach Pub - Enjoy outdoor or indoor dining and a short walk to the beach!
Turtle Beach Pub is part of the Turtle Beach Marina complex on the south end of Siesta Key and is a fun, indoor and outdoor restaurant and pub. They have a daily happy hour from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. with 2 for 1 well drinks and house wines. The Turtle Beach Pub also has strategically placed, around the outdoor dining area, several large fans to help cool you off in the hot summer months. This is a nice touch because the fans do their job and if it’s a hot and still day, the breezes the fans generate are enough to help keep you comfortable.
The service I’ve received on my numerous trips has always been friendly and fast. The beer and the drinks are cold and the service staff will bring you an extra cup of ice if you need it. One of many casual Sarasota restaurants, Turtle Beach Pub could also be described as casual family-friendly dining with a sports theme where you can catch the game on one of 7 TVs including a 60” HDTV inside the bar and dining room.
Their menu offers everything from wings to burgers to sandwich platters to pub pizza, chicken tenders, steak, pork chop and seafood platters, hot sandwiches right off the grill and more.
More on he Turtle Beach PubI’ve found the menu, food and service to be of a better value than some other places on Siesta Key. One of my lunch companions ordered the Fried Clam Platter which was much more pleasing than our experience at another popular Siesta Key eatery. Here, the platter was full of golden brown medium to larger sized fried clam strips, as opposed to slightly burned crumbs that we received at another restaurant on the Key. It was nice to see that they know how to serve this platter here. In fact, there was enough left over to take home in a doggy bag.

They also boast an award for the best Grouper Sandwich on the Key several years in a row. If you like burgers, they have, in my opinion, the best pub burger in the Sarasota area. I’ve eaten burgers at many Sarasota restaurants but theirs, in my opinion, is one of the the best I've found, so far. When I go to the Turtle Beach Pub it’s usually really difficult for me to decide whether to have one of their burgers, because they are so good, or something else.
So, on my last visit, I decided not to have a burger and opted for an entree/platter. I ordered and enjoyed the Pub style boneless, marinated pork chop platter ($11.95) for lunch, which comes with fries, Cole slaw and garlic toast. The 2 pork loin chops are good sized and you can order them grilled or fried. I ordered mine to be grilled and they were done just right, not overdone so that the pork becomes tough. The chops were tender and juicy with a nice marinated flavor; I’m sure it was a secret recipe! It was a delicious and very filling meal that I would order again, a nice change from the burger that I usually order at this little hideaway of Sarasota restaurants, Turtle Beach Pub. While some Sarasota Restaurants change over from lunch to dinner menus, The Turtle Beach Pub menu stays the same throughout the day and evening but they do have daily specials and the highest price on the menu, at this writing, is $13.95. That makes it a very nice, relaxing setting. There’s a nice outdoor atmosphere with friendly folks, good service and food, reasonably priced, in my opinion, and they do a good job! Bonus: If you time it right, you can catch the sunset at Turtle Beach before or after you grab a bite to eat, since it's only a short walk from the pub! Hours: The Turtle Beach Pub is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Directions: Coming from Sarasota and/or Rt. 41, take Rt 41. to Stickney Point Road, head west over the bridge and turn left at the first intersection, which is Midnight Pass Road. Follow Midnight Pass Road to the south end of Siesta Key and look for the Turtle Beach Marina sign on the left.
