Don't Miss the Annual Siesta Fiesta!
There's a party going on and you're invited!
April 25-26, 2009 marks the 31st Annual Siesta Fiesta. The outdoor, open air street party is held in Siesta Key Village on Siesta Key, just off the Sarasota, Florida mainland.

The Fiesta was traditionally held in April and known as the last party of the "season," until 2008 when the month of the event was changed to February. In 2009 the popular festival returns to its original late April dates, probably due to the mass amount of confusion generated by last year's (2008) date change and the outpouring of voices to return the date to its original. Usually in years past, Ocean Boulevard has been blocked off to traffic so participants in the festival as well as the general public can use the Village streets freely.

This is one giant outdoor block party. There are hundreds of arts and crafts vendors, merchants, food stands and live musicians jam-packed into Siesta Key Village, but the crowd flows well and in late April the weather is usually agreeable, as well as the crowd.

Parking can be a challenge as several of Siesta Key Village’s streets are blocked off and the free public parking lot nearby fills up fast. Best bet is to walk or bike down to Siesta Key Village from another location.

Admission to "the Fiesta" in Siesta Key Village is free. The weather is quite agreeable this time of year and the Village is only a couple blocks east of the Gulf of Mexico, so there can be some nice sea breezes as well as sunshine, making it a perfect time to enjoy the Fiesta!

Directions: From Sarasota take U.S. Rt.41 to the Stickney Point Bridge, over the bridge and then turn right on to Midnight Pass Road. Follow Midnight Pass road to Beach Road to Ocean Boulevard into Siesta Key Village and look for parking.
