Here is my list of the more popular Siesta Key Activities throughout the year....There's much to do and there is always something going on whether in the village or at the can always find your fun in the sun!

February 14, 2018: It may not be quite the Tennessee Bird Walk but the Siesta Key Village Valentine Stroll offers live music throughout the village and free candy kisses from the merchants. Participating merchants will have pink and red balloons outside their businesses. Free admission. 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Siesta Key Village. There will be pedicab and golf cart cab services from the Siesta Public Beach parking lot to the Village.

February 14, 2018: Celebrate Valentines Day at the Beach with love and romance: Renew your wedding vows and say “I Do” all over again on Siesta Key Beach in a non-denominational service. Couples of all ages and length of marriage gather for the annual group renewal of vows at the Siesta Beach Pavilion, presided over by a 12th Judicial Circuit Court Judge. Event begins at 5 p.m. but couples are encouraged to arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. to check in. It’s a tradition that dates to 1989 and it’s open to all, but you must pre-register by Feb. 11. Call 941-861-5000. There's a $10 per couple fee ($20 on site, day of event) and includes a certificate, commemorative gift, flower, music on the beach and light refreshments. February 24 - 25, 2018: My February Sarasota Events Calendar thinks you'll enjoy the 24th Annual Siesta Key Craft Festival. Everything from folk art, handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings and more! Surely you can find a unique item for your home in one of the outdoor galleries. The Fair is a tradition and draws a huge crowd. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days. Free Admission. Ocean Blvd in Siesta Key Village.

April 7, 2018: It's the 32nd Annual Run/walk for the Turtles sponsored by Mote Marine on Siesta Key Public Beach. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Siesta Key Gazebo south of the pavilion. The one-mile fun run or walk begins at 7:30 a.m. The 5-K Run begins at 8 a.m. The entry fee benefits the Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory. 388-4441 xt 357. April 15, 2017: Bring the little ones to the Siesta Key Children's Easter Party for ages 1 - 6 at Turtle Beach. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, Games and Prizes, Fun Activities and the Sheriffs Mounted Patrol. Bring your own Easter Basket. Registration is required. Limited to 150 children. $10 per child fee. Registration deadline is April 7. Event time: 9 a.m. - noon at Turtle Beach, 8918 Midnight Pass Road. Click here to register.

April 16, 2017: Easter Sunrise Service - Pine Shores Presbyterian Church hosts sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. at Siesta Key Beach near the pavilion. Bring a beach chair or blanket. April Siesta Key Activities

April 22 - 23, 2017: It's the Volley America Spalding King of the Beach Big Shot Volleyball  Tournament featuring 25 nets, open men, women, juniors and collegiate levels. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday starts at 9 a.m. Siesta Key Beach volley ball area. Beach Rd., Siesta Key. Click here for more info.

May 20 - 21, 2017: Can you dig it? It's the Dig The Beach - Siesta Key Volley Ball Classic bouncing in for the weekend. It's fun in the sun and sand with competition starting at 8:30 a.m. You're sure to see some great volleyball action. Siesta Key public beach volleyball courts. June Activities

June 7 - August 10, 2016: The Kids Summer Beach Runs are 1-mile beach runs held every Tuesday (through Aug. 9) at Siesta Beach on Siesta Key near the pavilion, and every Wednesday (through Aug. 10) at Brohard Beach (1600 Harbor Drive) next to the Venice Fishing Pier, Venice. Registration at each location begins at 5:30 p.m. and the beach run starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. There's a one-time $1 registration fee. The runs are a popular summer event combining exercise and fun. More at 941-861-5000.

July Siesta Key Activities

July 4, 2017: Watch from land, sea or the Intracoastal Waterway. The 27th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Display over Siesta Key are blasted off just north of the volleyball courts, so viewing is good from anywhere south and along Crescent Beach (south of Siesta Public Beach), out on the Gulf, or from the Intracoastal waterway. Good weather brings estimates of 20,000 to 30,000 to the fireworks on Siesta Key. More info: (941) 349-3800. Siesta Key Activities on Escape-to-Sarasota

October Activities

October 31, 2017: Bring your little ghosts and goblins for a Safe Treats Halloween in Siesta Key Village. Look for participating members displaying orange and black balloons and pumpkin flyers in their windows in Siesta Village along Ocean Blvd. and the surrounding streets. Free. 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

November Siesta Key Activities

November 10- 13, 2017: The 8th Annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition. Master Sculptors from across the U.S. will compete in paired teams for over $25,000 in prize money. 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. $5 for Children 5 - 17; $10 for 18 years and older. Children under 5 are free.  ATM ON SITE. $8 per day for Active and Retired Military Personnel and Seniors (age 65 and up).  More at Siesta Key Master Sand Sculpting Competition.

November 25, 2017: It's the annual Light Up Siesta Key Village Parade and Holiday Open House. Enjoy the holiday tree lighting, Santa's arrival, live music, and other entertainment. Get there early. The Parade begins at 6 p.m. in the Village, hosted by the Siesta Key Oyster Bar at 5238 Ocean Blvd. Free Trolley rides will be available from the Siesta Key Public Beach to the Village from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Siesta Key Village. December Activities

December 26, 2017: It's the 8th annual Siesta Key Santa Stumble pub crawl in Siesta Key Village among several of the bars. There's a "Santa Sack Race." It is important that racers dress in a Santa costume. 21 or older. Free. 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.  Siesta Key Oyster Bar, 5238 Ocean Blvd., Sarasota. More info: 941-346-5443.

Siesta's Farmers Market - Every Sunday from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. 5124 Ocean Blvd. Davidson's Plaza.

The Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle
The drums beat and people dance every Sunday evening on Siesta Key Beach. It takes place about an hour before sunset, just south of the main pavilion on Siesta Public Beach. Listen for the drums and follow the crowd. Bring your chair or beach blanket and refreshments. Even bring your own drum and play along!
