OLearys Tiki Bar & Grill on the Sarasota Bayfront across from downtown is located right on  Bayfront Park, across from Marina Jack and provides beautiful waterfront views while you eat and drink.

A fun place with live music, there’s a Tiki Hut bar as well as a large Tiki Hut under roof dining area and numerous umbrella tables spread through the sand.

After you place your self serve order at the inside counter and bring your order back to your table you can kick back, relax and enjoy the music and the water side vibe at this dog friendly establishment.

OLearys Tiki Bar & Grill opens at 8 a.m. which means they serve breakfast; not something I’ve had there but they have your general breakfast menu from eggs to French toast, a BLT sandwich and breakfast burritos. Most of the breakfast menu items are in the $7 - $8 range.

I have had lunch at this waterside hang-out and their lunch and dinner menus are one in the same. From appetizer munchies to entrees, OLearys kitchen covers a wide range.

I like their Tiki Club Wrap, which is a wonderfully put together sandwich and features turkey and ham, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo in a tortilla wrap for $9.95 and it comes with fries. It’s a great tasting wrap and was almost too much for me to finish, especially with the fries that come with the wrap.

One of my lunch buddies had the Cod sandwich for $9.95, a nice cod filet grilled, blackened or fried; a nice sandwich.

The entrees range from a fried seafood platter for $16.95 to grilled Mahi-Mahi for $14.95 and there are additional seafood entrée selections from cod fingers to fried clam strips, large shrimp and popcorn shrimp.

And, yes, they have Peel and Eat Shrimp!

The OLearys Tiki Bar & Grill menu is rounded out with soups and salads, burgers, hot dogs and sausage and a children’s menu.

Lunch and dinner menu items run from about $6.25 - $16.95 at this writing.

One of the best drink deals going for waterfront dining anywhere, as of this writing, is OLearys $3 Bud Light Drafts at the Tiki bar.

Try a margarita and a cheeseburger and you might hear one of the live singers play “Cheeseburger in Paradise!” You never know, but this would be the kind of place for that to happen.

They serve wine, bottled and draft beer and Tropical Frozen drinks.

Hours: Sun - Thurs: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., Fri - Sat: 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Entertainment:  Mon - Sun: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m., Sun - Thurs: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Fri - Sat: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Usually very crowded during “season” you’ll find fellow travelers from all over the world at this Sarasota iconic location. (Being a year round resident local, I tend to frequent places like this in off season, which sometimes accounts for the lack of large crowds in the photos.)
