Shoulda, Woulda, Cuda...

Second time fishing the Gulf. Had a large Spanish mackerel on the line gets 10 yards from the boat and the back 2/3 of the fish got snapped off by a barracuda. I reeled in a large head.
I decided at that point I wanted that fish for ruining my catch. So we throw a blue runner on the line and slow troll. A few minutes later, there’s a strike! The line starts singing and I began a 10 minute fight with a 30 lb barracuda.
