Here is my list of the more popular Siesta Key Activities throughout the year....There's much to do and there is always something going on whether in the village or at the can always find your fun in the sun!

February 14, 2021: It may not be quite the Tennessee Bird Walk but the Siesta Key Village Valentine Stroll. Stroll Siesta Key and look for balloons at participating businesses and merchants offering specials, discounts and sweet treats. Free admission. 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Siesta Key Village, FL. February 14, 2020: Celebrate Valentines Day at the Beach with love and romance: Renew your wedding vows and say “I Do” all over again on Siesta Key Beach in a non-denominational service. Couples of all ages and length of marriage gather for the annual group renewal of vows at the Siesta Beach Pavilion, presided over by a 12th Judicial Circuit Court Judge. Event begins at 5 p.m. but couples are encouraged to arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. to check in. It’s a tradition that dates to 1989 and it’s open to all, but you must pre-register by Feb. 7, 2021. Call 941-861-5000. There's a $15 per couple fee ($25 on site, day of event) and includes a certificate, commemorative gift, flower, music on the beach and light refreshments. February 27 - 28, 2021: Take some time to enjoy the 27th Annual Siesta Key Craft Festival. Everything from folk art, handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings and more! From the more than 100 crafters surely you can find a unique item for your home in one of the outdoor galleries. The Fair is a tradition and draws a huge crowd. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days. April Activities

April 4, 2020: Canceled. It's the 34th Annual Run/walk for the Turtles sponsored by Mote Marine on Siesta Key Public Beach. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Siesta Key Gazebo south of the pavilion. The one-mile fun run or walk begins at 7:30 a.m. The 5-K Run begins at 8 a.m. The entry fee benefits the Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program at Mote Marine Laboratory. 388-4441 xt 357. April 11, 2020: Canceled. Bring the little ones to the Siesta Key Children's Egg Hunt for ages 1 - 6 at Turtle Beach. Come celebrate this Easter with the Siesta Key Children's Easter Party and Easter Egg Hunt!  This family-friendly event is open to children ages 1-6 ($10 per child). Activities include an Easter egg hunt, games, free photos with the Easter bunny, the Sheriff’s mounted patrol, and more! Kona Ice will be offering items available for purchase. Children ages 1 to 6 are invited to register and participate. All Easter eggs will contain prizes donated by Siesta Key Chamber Member businesses. Each child who registers will also receive a goodie bag. Children should bring something to carry their collected eggs in. Pre-registration begins March 20th, and is required for the Easter Egg Hunt and limited to 175 children. There is a $10 fee per child. The free Siesta Breeze Trolley service will begin at 8:30 on that morning and will be making rounds approximately every thirty minutes from SK Village to Turtle Beach. April 12, 2020Canceled. Easter Sunrise Service - Pine Shores Presbyterian Church hosts its 61st Easter Sunday sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. at Siesta Key Beach near the pavilion. Bring a beach chair or blanket. April Siesta Key Activities

May 16 - 17, 2020: Can you dig it? It's the Dig The Beach - Siesta Key Volley Ball Classic bouncing in for the weekend. It's fun in the sun and sand with check in at 7:30 a.m. and competition starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday. You're sure to see some great volleyball action. Free spectator admission. June Activities

June 2 - July 28, 2020: The Kids Summer Beach Runs are 1-mile beach runs held every Tuesday (through July 28) at Siesta Beach on Siesta Key near the pavilion. For ages 1 - 17, participation ribbons are awarded. This year, kids have the option of running at one of our county beaches or at an off-site location of their choice. Participants who run 4 times will earn an event shirt. (Pre-registration is required to be eligible for the shirt.) For more details or to register, call 941-861 (PARK) 7275 Registration at each location begins at 5:30 p.m. and the beach run starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. Free. The runs are a popular summer event combining exercise and fun. Complete four runs and earn a free custom T-shirt along with other prizes. (No run on June 30, 2020). More at 941-861-5000.

June 6 - 7, 2020: It's the Sunshine State Outdoor Volleyball Association Summer Tour Stop #4 on Siesta Key. Divisions: Men's Open; Men's AA; Men's A; Men's BB; Women's Open; Women's AA; Women's A; Women's BB; Coed 2's Open; Coed 2's AA; Coed 2's A; Coed 2's BB; Coed 4's A; Coed 4's B. Saturday: Open  Check In: 7:30 a.m. -8:00 a.m. Play starts 8:30 a.m. Adults (All other Divisions)  Check in: 8:00 a.m. -8:30 a.m. Play starts at 9:00 a.m. Sunday: Juniors 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and Play Starts at 8:30 a.m. COED Check in: 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Play Starts at 10:00 a.m. Siesta Key Beach volley ball area. 948 Beach Rd., Siesta Key, FL.

July Siesta Key Activities

July 4, 2020: Canceled. Watch from land, sea or the Intracoastal Waterway. The 28th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Display over Siesta Key are blasted off just north of the volleyball courts, so viewing is good from anywhere south and along Crescent Beach (south of Siesta Public Beach), out on the Gulf, or from the Intracoastal waterway. Good weather brings estimates of 20,000 to 30,000 to the fireworks on Siesta Key. More info: (941) 349-3800. Subject to change, cancellation or postponement by event organizers due to coronavirus. October Activities

October 31, 2020: It's the 36th Annual, Siesta Key “Safe Treats!” Bring your little ones to trick or treat and look for participating members displaying festive balloons. In addition to Siesta Key Village, the event has expanded to include merchants on South Siesta Key. Hop on the free Siesta Breeze Trolley which makes a continuous loop between the Village and Turtle Beach, with multiple stops along the way. 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL.

November Siesta Key Activities

November 13 - 16, 2020: Canceled for 2020. Next  event will be November 12- 15, 2021. The 10th Annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition. Master Sand Sculptors from across the U.S. will compete in paired teams for Thousands in prize money. Other events connected to the competition will take place, as well. Those activities, including live music and food and retail vendors in a "vendor village" setting are also a part of the festival. Friday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Various on line discount available with various ticket packages including reserved private parking. November 28, 2020: It's the 35th annual Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade. Enjoy the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Village Gazebo and live music from the Pine View jazz Combo. Free gift bags for the first 200 kids. Free public transportation is provided courtesy of the Siesta Breeze Trolley from Turtle Beach to the Village (with multiple stops along the route, including Siesta Beach). December Activities

December 26, 2019: It's the 9th annual Siesta Key Santa Stumble pub crawl in Siesta Key Village among several of the bars. There's a "Santa Sack Race." It is important that racers dress in a Santa costume. 21 or older. Free. 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.  Siesta Key Oyster Bar, 5238 Ocean Blvd., Sarasota. More info: 941-346-5443.

Siesta's Farmers Market - Every Sunday from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. 5124 Ocean Blvd. Davidson's Plaza.

The Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle
The drums beat and people dance every Sunday evening on Siesta Key Beach. It takes place about an hour before sunset, just south of the main pavilion on Siesta Public Beach. Listen for the drums and follow the crowd. Bring your chair or beach blanket and refreshments. Even bring your own drum and play along!
