Here is my list of the more popular Siesta Key Activities throughout the year....There's much to do and there is always something going on whether in the village or at the beaches...you can always find your fun in the sun!

February 14, 2024: It's time to Say "I Do Again!" Celebrate a renewal of wedding vows at sunset on beautiful Siesta Beach. Event includes commemorative certificate, gift, flower, music on the beach and light refreshments. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. and activities begin at 5 p.m. The nondenominational service begins promptly at 6 p.m. Register by Feb. 11 for $15 per couple or fee increases to $25 for day of registration. March Activities

March 7, 2024: Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources' Beach University series returns to the Siesta Beach main pavilion. In partnership with the Siesta Beach Ambassador volunteer program, this free educational series invites community members and visitors to learn about coastal environments in one-hour sessions. Beach University sessions are from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., every Thursday in March at the main pavilion on Siesta Beach, 948 Beach Road on Siesta Key. Free for ages 10 and up.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs as seating is limited. No registration is required. Also on March 14, 2024, March 21, 2024, March 28, 2024.

March 30, 2024: It's the annual Siesta Key Easter Egg Hunt The Egg Hunt will be held on the Siesta Key Chapel's shade-covered grounds. Come join in this fun-filled morning. Live animals, goody bags. Take photos with the Easter Bunny. Enjoy children's games and activities. Advance registration is required for the Egg Hunt. Participation in the Egg Hunt is limited to 200 children ages 1-6. Please bring a bag or basket for your child to put his or her eggs in. All registered children receive a goody bag. Admission: $12 per child (ages 1-6). March 31, 2024: Easter Sunrise Service - Pine Shores Presbyterian Church hosts its 65th Easter Sunday sunrise service at Siesta Key Beach near the pavilion. Bring a beach chair or blanket. 6:30 a.m. Siesta Key Beach, 948 Beach Rd, Sarasota, FL  

April Activities

April 6, 2024: It's the 38th Annual Run/walk for the Turtles sponsored by Mote Marine on Siesta Key Public Beach. Run, walk or crawl to support Mote's sea turtle conservation and research!  6:30 a.m. - Packet pick up & race day registration opens, 7:00 a.m. - Warm Up! 7:30 a.m. - 1 Mile Fun Run, 8:00 a.m. - 5K Run sanctioned by Manasota Track Club, Award ceremony to follow 5K. Race registration (for both the 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K) includes a complimentary race t-shirt, access to the food station, kids activities area & more! This event is family friendly and spectators are welcome. 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. Siesta Key Beach, 948 Beach Road, Sarasota. FL.

May Siesta Key Activities

May: The Annual Siesta Key Sand Sculpture Contest -This event is no longer. From the Sarasota County Recreation Department: "After 50 years, the Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest has come to a close. Low participation was the main component to our decision. Crystal Classic has an amateur component to the festival in November and we hope some sculptures will come to participate then." May 6, 2024: It's the 24th Annual Siesta Key Chamber Golf Tournament at TPC Prestancia's Stadium Course. This private outing presents a unique opportunity for Chamber members and guests to play a round of golf on the private, championship-style course. 7:30 a.m. Registration starts along with complimentary continental breakfast. 9:00 a.m. Shotgun start; tournament commences. Awards lunch following play. Fees/Admission: $650.00 per team. $175.00 for Individual Player. TPC Prestancia, 4409 Tournament Players Club Drive, Sarasota, FL. May 11 - 12, 2024: Can you dig it? It's the Dig The Beach - Siesta Key Volley Ball Classic bouncing in for the weekend. It's fun in the sun and sand with check in at 7:30 a.m. and competition starting at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and 8:45 a.m. Sunday. You're sure to see some great volleyball action. Free spectator admission. June 1 - 2, 2024: It's the Sunshine State Outdoor Volleyball Association Summer Tour Stop on Siesta Key. Siesta Key BIG MONEY TOUR $9,000. June 4 - July 30, 2024:The Kids Summer Beach Runs are 1-mile beach runs held every Tuesday (through July 30) at Siesta Beach on Siesta Key near the pavilion. For ages 1 - 17. This one-mile fun run for kids is a summer favorite and a great opportunity for families to exercise together and have fun at the beach! Weekly registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with race time at 6:30 p.m. Kids receive a participation ribbon at each run. Complete four runs and earn a free custom t-shirt. No run the week of July 4th. July Siesta Key Activities

July 4, 2024: Watch from land, sea or the Intracoastal Waterway. The 30th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Display over Siesta Key are blasted off just north of the volleyball courts, so viewing is good from anywhere south and along Crescent Beach (south of Siesta Public Beach), out on the Gulf, or from the Intracoastal waterway. Beach spectators are strongly advised to not bring their own fireworks. With so many people, especially small children, individuals using fireworks can be extremely dangerous. Good weather brings estimates of 20,000 to 30,000 to the fireworks on Siesta Key. More info: (941) 349-3800. October Activities

October 31, 2023: TBA for 2024.  For the 39th year Siesta Key will host the “Safe Treats.” This FREE event provides a safe venue for children to trick-or-treat and is a fun afternoon for the entire family. The event includes merchants in Siesta Village and on South Siesta Key. Bring your little ones to trick or treat and look for participating members displaying  festive balloons. Don’t forget to hop on the free Siesta Key  Breeze Trolley which makes a continuous loop between the Siesta Key Village and Turtle Beach, with multiple stops along the way. 3 - 6 p.m. Siesta Key, FL. November Siesta Key Activities

November 11 - 14, 2022: TBA for 2024.  Come out and enjoy the 13th Annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition. 24 Master Sand Sculptors from across the U.S. will compete for thousands in prize money. Other events connected to the competition will take place, as well: The Learning Curve - sand sculpting lessons and demonstrations are hosted multiple times daily, Fri - Sun; 4 days of live bands, full bar and no entry fee. Vendor Village surrounding Sand Village features over 70 retail vendors and 6 food trailers which are all open to the public. Friday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday & Monday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Various on line ticket packages including reserved private parking. You can purchase daily admission upon arrival to the event for $10 per day or a 4 day pass for $30. More options on line for advance purchase.(Prices subject to change)

November 23, 2022: TBA for 2024.  It's the annual Turkey Trot 2022 pub crawl in Siesta Key Village hosted by The Block that Roxx!: Daiquiri Deck, SKOB, The Hub, The Beach Club, MVP, Pi, Gilligan's and Bud Light. Early admission 8 p.m. General admission 9 p.m. $10 pre-sale wrist bands available for early admission to Daiquiri Deck only. Turkey Trot 2022 pub crawl, Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key Village, Sarasota, FL.

November 26, 2022: TBA for 2024.  It's the 37th annual Light Up Siesta Key & Village Holiday Parade.  Enjoy the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Village Gazebo and the holiday parade which begins at Avenida del Mare and Beach Road at 5:30 p.m. and  travels north on Beach Road onto Ocean Blvd. and on into the Village. Santa will arrive at the Siesta Center immediately following the parade to greet children. Photos may be taken with Santa, free of charge. Gift bags provided by Beach Bazaar for the first 250 kids to visit Santa. Kids activities and entertainment at the Siesta Center Plaza. New This Year: Judges will be viewing the entire parade to decide winners in the following categories: Most festive, Best décor & lighting and Originality. Free public transportation is provided courtesy of the Siesta Breeze Trolley from Turtle Beach to the Village (with multiple stops along the route, including Siesta Beach). December Activities

December 26, 2023: TBA for 2024. It's the 9th annual Siesta Key Santa Stumble pub crawl in Siesta Key Village among several of the bars. There's a "Santa Sack Race." It is important that racers dress in a Santa costume. 21 or older. Free. 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.  Siesta Key Oyster Bar, 5238 Ocean Blvd., Sarasota. More info: 941-346-5443.

Siesta's Farmers Market - Every Sunday from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. 5124 Ocean Blvd. Davidson's Plaza.

The Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle
The drums beat and people dance every Sunday evening on Siesta Key Beach. It takes place about an hour before sunset, just south of the main pavilion on Siesta Public Beach. Listen for the drums and follow the crowd. Bring your chair or beach blanket and refreshments. Even bring your own drum and play along!
