December 1 - 7, 2025:  Selby Gardens is excited to collaborate with British contemporary artist, Rebecca Louise Law, on The Orchid Show 2025 at the Downtown Sarasota campus. Exploring the theme of survival, the exhibition will feature an immersive art installation of dried flowers by Law in the Museum of Botany & the Arts. Accompanying Law’s installation will be a striking presentation of living orchids and other plants in the Display Conservatory, designed by Selby Gardens’ horticulture team. The spectacular results will blur the lines between art and nature in unexpected ways Selby Gardens is home to the finest scientifically documented collection of living orchids in the world. The Orchid Show will build on the strength of this outstanding collection and celebrate the beauty and diversity of one of the most popular families of flowering plants. Members Free. December 1 - 31, 2025: It's the annual “FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS” with a display of more than ONE MILLION LIGHTS and themed decorations inside and outside at Fisherman's Village. Parking and admission are free. The festival of Lights may be viewed 7 days a week during all hours of operation. Bring your camera as there are photo op areas you won’t want to miss! Santa and the Grinch are very fond of Fishermen’s Village and make regular visits throughout the holiday season! Fisherman's Village, 1200 W. Retta Esplanade Punta Gorda, FL. December 1, 2025 - January 4, 2026: Yes! Wonderland is back with  BELIEVE!, a dazzling, never-before-seen production. This year’s show features fan favorites like the hilarious Johnny Rockett, the electrifying Ty McFarlan, and Sarasota’s own legendary Nik Wallenda for a show that promises a blend of thrilling circus acts, mesmerizing aerial performances, and uplifting holiday storytelling. December 1, 2025 - January 4, 2026: Lace up your skates for some wintertime fun because a real ice rink is back at UTC! The Rink is located in the West District at UTC, right next to Ford’s Garage. Ticket Prices: Individual tickets: $16 - $20 per skater. Tickets include ice skate rental. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. All hours are subject to weather and rink conditions. You will be sent an email if your ice skating reservation must be rescheduled. In case of severe weather that causes a public safety concern, skaters may be asked to leave the outdoor event. Mon – Fri | 4 PM – 10 PM. Sat – Sun | 11 AM – 10 PM. School Holidays | 11 AM – 10 PM. Holiday hours: Thanksgiving Day | 11 AM – 6 PM, Christmas Eve | 11 AM – 6 PM, Christmas Day | 2 PM – 8 PM. December 3 - 6, 2025: Check out the Sarasota Coin Show and Sale put on by the Sarasota-Manatee Coin Clubs. Learn the history behind the coins that also reflects the history of the country. Dealers from across America will offer an outstanding variety of Coins, Old Paper Money & Memorabilia for show and sale. December 3 - 22, 2025: Take a ride on the North Pole Express, a 35 minute ride from Parrish, FL to the North Pole. Upon arrival, everyone will detrain at our special North Pole station where Santa awaits to visit with every child. During your stay a variety of entertainment, activities, camp fires and all the hot chocolate and cookies you care to eat are included with every train ticket. December 4, 2025: The Annual Christmas Walk takes place in Historic Downtown Venice. Enjoy extended hours at local shops, treats, live music and the twinkle of lights on decorated trees and the warm glow of decorated holiday storefront windows along Miami, Tampa and West Venice avenues. 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Downtown Venice, FL

December 4, 2025: Celebrate the holiday season at The Ringling during Holiday Splendor and help support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots, serving Sarasota and Manatee counties. Local schools will provide musical entertainment in the Museum of Art Courtyard. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Admission: Free with one unwrapped toy per person. December 4 - 7, 2025: The second-annual European Holiday Market, the Heart of the Holidays, will blend European-inspired tradition with Gulf Coast flair at the Bradenton Area Convention Center from December 4 through December 7, 2025. This immersive experience will transport guests to a festive European setting, featuring artisans selling seasonal treasures, festive food and drink, interactive activities, and live performances. Celebrating the spirit of the season on Florida’s West Coast, the European Holiday Market will evoke the traditions, sights, sounds, and tastes that make this time of year so magical. Hours: All day. December 5, 2025:Get your toes tappin' at Jazz at Two. Isaac Mingus and Friends return to perform at Jazz @ Two after receiving rave reviews for last season's performance. One of the most highly acclaimed shows in a season regarded by many in our audience as the 'best season ever'. December 5, 2025: Check out some heavenly bodies during Sidewalk Astronomy courtesy of the local group of Deep Sky Observers at the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature in downtown Bradenton Telescopes will be set up in the large, paved and fenced-in courtyard on the north (Manatee River) side of the building. In addition, there will be several local food trucks in the courtyard, so you can enjoy a tasty bite while observing the cosmos! December 5, 2025: t's the 47th Annual Holiday Night of Lights on St. Armand's Circle. Holiday Night of Lights” is St. Armand's official “kick off” to the holiday season. Join in with their annual Christmas Carol Sing-a-long beginning at 5:30pm. Once Santa arrives, he needs your help to countdown the final 10-seconds and illuminate St. Armand's Circle with our 60 foot Christmas Tree! From 6:30pm – 8:00pm, dress your best, and take your photos with Santa. December 5 - 6, 2025: It's A Holly Jolly Village Christmas where you can experience the magic of the season in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts! Step into a Christmas wonderland and find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list! Stroll through charming, festively decorated shops, each filled with holiday spirit, as the South East High School choir and the Sentimental Gents Barbershop Quartet fill the air with joyful tunes on Friday evening! On Saturday, December 6, special guests Mayor Gene Brown and his lovely wife will be in the Village as Santa and Mrs. Claus, ready for photo ops, handing out presents, and soaking up the holiday charm as they stroll through the Village. December 5 - 6, 2025:  Reserve your spot for a special holiday tour at the Palmetto Historical Park & Manatee County Agricultural Museum. On Friday and Saturday  3 – 7:30 PM celebrate the holiday season with the return of Palmetto’s Christmas in the Park at the Palmetto Historical Park & Manatee County Agricultural Museum. Come enjoy reindeer games, holiday crafts, and festive decorations! Tickets are required to attend this event. All tickets are FREE, but quantities are limited. December 5 - 18, 2025: It's the 6th annual UTC Festival of Trees. The annual UTC Festival of Trees is a showcase and silent auction of holiday trees creatively decorated by local charities. Spectators are invited to pay to vote for their favorites and bid in the online silent auction for a chance to take a tree home. Tree entries will be displayed December 5 - 18, 2025. 100% of the money raised goes back to each participating charity, and additional prizes are awarded to the top three entries with the most votes.  A kick of party will be held December 5. December 6, 2025: It's the 28th Annual Jingle & Jog 5K Run/Walk in support of The Haven to benefit people of all ages with disabilities. Registration includes race t-shirt, food, refreshments and swag bag. Starting at The Haven’s beautiful campus nestled on 32-acres of lush Florida scenery, participants will experience a smooth course under the canopy of oak trees. Registration: $40. A tropical twist on the North Pole — North Palm Plaza brings holiday cheer, family fun, and festive activities for all ages! December 6, 2025: It's the Ukrainian Christmas Festival! Program highlights include Ukrainian choral and instrumental music. December 6, 2025: It's the North Port Poinsettia Parade.  The Poinsettia Parade will start at 5 p.m. and march south down Sumter Boulevard from Sylvania Avenue through the City Center Campus, ending at the Festival (a prime location to catch the parade). Floats adorned with poinsettias, decorated vehicles, and escorted by North Port Fire Rescue, Jolly Ole St. Nick will make a special appearance in the parade. The parade will end at the annual Poinsettia Festival. The Festival will include a tree lighting ceremony and will take place throughout the grounds of the City Center Campus, including on the Front Green and inside City Hall from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.. December 6, 2025:  It's the Bradenton Winter Wonderland  Celebration. Meet Santa for a picture and share your holiday wishes with him. Capture beautiful photos with holiday themed vignettes. Brave the adventure of the snow slide. Watch festive performances from local youth groups on the Winter Wonderland Main Stage. Enjoy roaming performers as they delight audiences in the streets. Win fun prizes at the free winter carnival by playing games such as snowball toss and ice fishing. Stretch your creative side with free make and take activities for children to share with friends and family. Watch in wonder as snow magically fall throughout the evening. Brave the snow slide and play in the falling snow on Old Main Street. December 6, 2025: It's the Annual Christmas Jeep Convoy put on by the Sarasota and Bradenton Jeep Clubs. Be sure to deck out your Jeep with your favorite lights and decorations - the more the merrier! They'll meet at De Soto Square Mall in Bradenton starting at 5 p.m. The convoy will pull out at 7 pm. The route includes Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, St. Armand's Circle and Siesta Key. December 6, 2025: The Venice Christmas Boat Parade starts at 6 p.m. (rain date is the next day) along the Intracoastal Waterway in Venice starting at the Albee Road Bridge in Nokomis and moving south along the waterway with turnaround before the Circus Bridge in Venice. Spectators line the north (at South Nokomis Beach) and south (at North Venice Beach) jetties and throughout the downtown and Venice waterfront areas to the judging area near the south Circus Bridge for a view of the brightly lit and colorfully decorated “Christmas Boats.” 6 p.m. Admission is free. December 6, 2025: It's the Holiday Boat Parade at Jiggs Landing. Since the 1970s, neighbors and friends have gathered at Jiggs to light up the water with holiday cheer. Decorate your boat, grab your crew, and join the tradition! Boats shove off at sunset (6:00 PM). Route: Circle the reservoir, then cruise upstream to Linger Lodge. Live music by Victoria Ginty Band at 3 PM at Jiggs, followed by the boat parade launch at 6 PM. Look out for Santa and the Mrs. Jigg's Landing, 6106 63rd St E, Bradenton, FL. December 6, 2025: The 29th Annual Sarasota Holiday Parade takes place in downtown Sarasota on the first Saturday evening of December. With thousands participating and even more thousands viewing, the parade kicks off at 7 p.m. with decorated floats, live marching bands and the guest of honor "rounding" out the parade, Santa Claus. December 6, 2025:  It's the 7th Annual Braves Tomahawk 5K, Run a quick 1 mile around the concourse of Cool Today Park! You'll enjoy a rollicking flat course along the roads near the park, a behind the scenes path through the stadium grounds as you make your way to the field. You'll loop around the warning track on field and see your 3rd base finish on the giant 40'X80' JumboTron. Your post race breakfast at the Tomahawk Tiki Bar plus 2 chips for your choice of soda or beer all included with your registration. The Tiki bar will also have Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and the full bar selection available for purchase. Bring the family for a fun day at the park. Additional breakfast buffet tickets will be available to add on during registration. Great looking shirts and custom finishers medals for all! Register by November 18th to be sure to get your right size shirt. After November 18th, sizes and availability will be limited. December 6 - 7, 2025: It's Lakewood Ranch's Holiday Festival of the Arts! Enjoy browsing and purchasing fine arts and crafts from a fascinating and diverse palette of original, handmade arts, crafts and specialty products by artisans from across America. Art are pieces created in painting, sculpting, jewelry, photography, candles, scented oils, ceramics, fiber and wearable art, mixed-media, woodworking and much more. December 6 - 7, 2025: Sarasota's original indie arts & craft show, the Atomic Holiday Bazaar, a Sarasota Holiday Shopping Tradition. December 7, 2025: The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Florida Division, and the Florida Park Service proudly announce their Christmas Open House at Gamble Mansion. Once again you can travel back to the Old South during the day through the many lifestyle demonstrations of that time. Gamble Mansion will be lavishly decorated in the Christmas spirit, allowing you a special look at a 19th century Christmas. The Ladies of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will be wearing costumes reminiscent of the era of the 1840’s through 1870’s to add that special touch of authenticity to the day. December 25, 2025: The annual Pinecraft Christmas Parade usually draws over 1,000 spectators to this Sarasota Amish and Mennonite Community for the parade, traditionally held on Christmas afternoon, winding through the neighborhood streets. Started by local resident Mike Miller in 1999, it's the biggest event of the year in the neighborhood. Assemble in parking lot at Der Dutchman restaurant, 3713 Bahia Vista Street, beginning at 1:00 p.m. or right soon after lunch.
