December 1, 2024: Enjoy warm gulf breezes, fresh seafood and live musical performances  at the 8th Annual Sarasota  Seafood & Music Festival. Enjoy the best and freshest cooked foods by local restaurants and food purveyors. Foods are cooked on-site using such ingredients as grouper, mahi mahi, stone crabs, oysters, shrimp and soft-shell crabs. A variety of vegetarian and rice dishes are available as well as non-seafood items. Live music, too: While savoring your meal, relax to some of Florida’s top musical groups from genres such as R&B, blues, jazz, rock and Caribbean sounds. On the breaks between performances, enjoy shopping in a marketplace of fine arts, crafts, and select fine products and food items. Free admission. December 1, 2023: TBA for 2024.  It's downtown Sarasota's Fresh Fridays with a Frosty The Snowman theme and featuring a holiday showcase with carolers, seasonal treats, lights and snow globe photo booth and more. 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Selby Five Points Park, 1 Central Avenue, Sarasota, FL.

December 1 - 2, 2023: TBA for 2024. Celebrate the holiday season with the return of Palmetto’s Christmas in the Park at the Palmetto Historical Park & Manatee County Agricultural Museum. Enjoy the grounds where there will be activities including reindeer games and crafts. All of the buildings will be decorated and open to visitors. Tickets will be required to attend the event whether you have an additional reservation with Santa or not. If you would like to attend the event only and not see Santa, reserve your event tickets starting November 14th through our website, Santa Claus: There will be appointment slots every 5 minutes and to reserve a spot with Santa (up to 10 people per slot), you will need to call the Manatee County Agricultural Museum at 941-721-2034 on November 14, 2023 beginning at 8:00 a.m..They will be taking reservations in the order that they are received and this will automatically register you for general event tickets as well. December 1 - 2, 2023: TBA for 2024. Check out the Outdoor Holiday Market at The Mall at UTC. The two-day event will feature 150+ vendors selling handmade and unique holiday gifts, food trucks and more! The market will be open on Friday, December 1st from 4 - 9 pm and Saturday, December 2nd from 11 am - 5 pm. Free entry and parking. Pets are allowed (leashed). Parking lot 4. December 1, 3, 2023: TBA for 2024. Kick off the Christmas season with the Sarasota Baptist Church at their Sarasota Christmas Festival on December 1st and 3rd! Come and enjoy live music by the outdoor Christmas tree (bring a lawn chair, limited seating provided) and a Christmas village with food, photo areas, petting zoo, hot chocolate, kids crafts, and some surprises! December 1 - 17, 2024:  It's the fifth annual UTC Festival of Trees. The annual UTC Festival of Trees is a showcase and silent auction of holiday trees creatively decorated by local charities. Spectators are invited to pay to vote for their favorites and bid in the online silent auction for a chance to take a tree home. 100% of the money raised goes back to each participating charity, and additional prizes are awarded to the top three entries with the most votes. The 2024 UTC Festival of Trees is presented in partnership with Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy and hosted inside the Mall at UTC, which attracts 40,000+ visitors per day over the holiday season. Tree entries will be displayed Nov. 25 – Dec. 17 throughout the upper level and available for viewing during mall hours. An opening night reception will be held Monday, Nov. 25 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Mall at UTC. Participating charities are encouraged to invite board members, volunteers and supporters to attend this special preview to generate awareness and excitement for the silent auction and voting. December 1 - 22, 2024: Take a ride on the North Pole Express, a 35 minute ride from Parrish, FL to the North Pole. Upon arrival, everyone will detrain at our special North Pole station where Santa awaits to visit with every child. During your stay a variety of entertainment, activities, camp fires and all the hot chocolate and cookies you care to eat are included with every train ticket. December 1 - 31, 2024: It's the annual “FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS,” a display of more than ONE MILLION LIGHTS and themed decorations at Fisherman's Village. 1200 W. Retta Esplanade Punta Gorda, FL. (Fishermen’s Village Waterfront Mall, Resort and Marina is located on Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda. From I-75, take exit 164, turn left and proceed 3 miles to Fishermen’s Village.)

December 1, 2023 - January 2, 2024: TBA for 2024.  It's time to lace up your skates for some wintertime fun at UTC. The Rink at UTC, presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, opened November 11th and will run daily through January 2nd.Mon - Fri 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. School holidays: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. The Rink is located in the East District at UTC.. December 2, 2023: TBA for 2024. Check out Ukrainian Christmas in Venice. Learn about and experience Ukrainian Christmas customs with live music, traditional dress, dancing and more. Display of Ukrainian folk art: embroidery, wood carving, ceramics, potter, Christmas ornaments, holiday customs, traditions. Bring your lawn chair! 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. Free. Centennial Park, 200 W. December 2, 2023: TBA for 2024. It's the Annual Christmas Jeep Parade put on by the Sarasota and Bradenton Jeep Clubs. Be sure to deck out your Jeep with your favorite lights and decorations - the more the merrier! They'll meet at De Soto Square Mall in Bradenton starting at 5 p.m. The convoy will pull out at 7 pm. The route includes Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, St. Armand's Circle and Siesta Key. Meet at DeSoto Square Mall in Bradenton, 5 p.m.  De Soto Square Mall, 303 301 Blvd W, Bradenton, FL.

December 2, 2023:TBA for 2024.  Bradenton Beach Marina will present the 5th Annual Bradenton Beach Holiday Boat Parade. Boat owners are invited to show off their holiday spirit and their beautifully lit vessels in a Parade along the Intracoastal Waterway. View the annual boat parade from Bradenton Beach Marina’s Paddle Boat or from the Bradenton Beach pier. Vessels in the parade will gather near the south end of Jewfish Key. The parade will head northwest along the Longboat Pass Bridge and then north in the Intracoastal Waterway. The parade will pass alongside the Bradenton Beach City Pier and end at the Bradenton Beach Marina. Starts at 6 p.m. Free. Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island. 941-778-2288.

December 2, 2023: TBA for 2024. Enjoy the 11th annual Holiday Boat Parade at Jiggs Landing Preserve, on the Ever's Reservoir and Braden River, launch your boat at the public boat ramp. The colorful parade gets going at dark as they parade past Jiggs Landing, They pass "The Heights" on the reservoir and head upstream past Mote Ranch, Marineland and continue on to Linger Lodge. December 2, 2024: Join the Venice Concert Band for the Holidays. The concert theme is Holiday Gems as the Venice Concert Band performs many of the traditional sounds of the season. The band will get your holiday season started with some joyous sounds as they present old classics as well as new arrangements to fill your hearts with the Hanukkah and Christmas spirits. Tickets will be available for this performance November 18, 2024. December 2, 2024: Monday Night Jazz at the Cabaret, the Jazz Club presents Mauricio Rodriguez and the MJR Latin Project at the John C. Court Cabaret at FST; 1st St and Cocoanut Ave, Sarasota. Concert
begins at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 for food and beverage service.

December 2 - 3, 2023: TBA for 2024. Enjoy Wintergreen Weekend at the Point: A Victorian Family Holiday.  Kick off the holiday season with festive, time-honored traditions at our scenic Historic Spanish Point campus. Join us for “reindeer” pony rides, holiday storytelling, handbell performances, and more! Admission is free for Selby Gardens members and included with general admission. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Member guests $11, Adults $26, Ages 5-17 $11, Age 4 and under Free. December 3, 2023: TBA for 2024. You're invited to Gamble Plantation Historic State Park's Christmas Open House. You can travel back to the Old South during the day through the many lifestyle demonstrations of that time. Gamble Mansion will be lavishly decorated in the Christmas spirit, allowing you a special look at a 19th century Christmas. The Ladies of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will be wearing costumes reminiscent of the era of the 1840’s through 1870’s to add that special touch of authenticity to the day. See a War Between the States-Soldier’s camp, Early Craft Demonstrations, Period Sutlers, Free Tours of the Gamble Mansion, Mansion Lavishly Decorated in the Christmas Spirit Admission is free. 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Gamble Plantation Historic State Park is located on U.S. 301 in Ellenton, one mile west of I-75 off exit #224.

December 3, 2024 - April 9, 2024: Enjoy the Bayfront Gardens at The Ringling for Acoustic Sunsets with a solo musician on Ca' d'Zan Terrace! This event will feature a solo or duo musical group performing acoustic music as the sun sets on beautiful Sarasota Bay. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. 5:30 p.m. $15 Members. Tickets will be available 30 days prior to each event. In the case that there are tickets still available one week prior to each event, members will be able to purchase up to 4 guest tickets $20 each. December 3, 2023: TBA for 2024. The Sarasota Garden Club Presents Holiday in the Gardens where you can dance and enjoy music from all genres to present while sitting in a beautiful garden setting or strolling the the beautiful gardens. December 3 - 8, 2024: European charm is coming to the Bradenton Area. This holiday season, the Bradenton Area Convention Center will be transformed into an authentic “European” holiday market with a gulf coast twist. Step into a simulated European train depot complete with the howl of a train whistle and steam from the engine. Once guests exit “the depot” they will “arrive” at a quaint European village simulated through state-of-the art video projections emulating the unique long-standing traditions and architecture of Germany, France and other European countries. The European Holiday Market will feature artisan vendors selling seasonal treasures, European-inspired delicacies like German pretzels and French pastries as well as Floribbean flavors like fresh shucked oysters. Event attendees will enjoy festive beverages like traditional Glühwein (mulled wine) accented by a Florida twist. Guests will also enjoy interactive activities like holiday wreath-making as well as live performances featuring seasonal music and exquisite stage performances. Children will be welcomed to pose for a photo with Santa and his set of holiday friends. December 5, 2024: The Annual Christmas Walk takes place in Historic Downtown Venice. Enjoy extended hours at local shops, treats, live music and the twinkle of lights on decorated trees and the warm glow of decorated holiday storefront windows along Miami, Tampa and West Venice avenues. 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Downtown Venice, FL

December 5, 2023: TBA for 2024. Check out Lakewood Ranch's Main Street and celebrate the Holiday Season! You will find festive lighting displays to bring the sparkle to your child’s eyes, and Santa himself will be here, taking photos at the Christmas tree, spreading loads of Christmas cheer and sharing that all familiar laugh. December 5, 2024 - January 1, 2025:  More than two million lights shine and twinkle brightly during the Selby Gardens 21st annual "Lights in Bloom" celebration where you can explore and view life-size garden-themed holiday lights that transform the gardens into a tropical wonderland. Don’t miss a holiday photo opportunity, activities, and entertainment for the whole family. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. 6:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. nightly. December 5 - 8, 2023: TBA for 2024. Reserve your spot for a special holiday tour at the Palmetto Historical Park & Manatee County Agricultural Museum. Start your guided tour in the Palmetto Historical Park’s Carnegie Library and learn about the history of Palmetto while enjoying the beautiful decorations throughout each building in the park. You will continue your tour through the Manatee County Agricultural Museum which highlights the agricultural heritage of Manatee County. There will also be many decorated trees around the Museum for your enjoyment. Reservations will open on Tuesday, November 14th and the link will be on their website,  and through Facebook. Tours will be held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., & 2 p.m.. There will be 10 individual slots per tour time and reservations are required for each tour participant. December 5 - 8, 2024: You're invited to the 50th Annual Singing Christmas Tree Spectacular to enjoy the wonder of Christmas. Presented by the First Sarasota Downtown Baptist Church, The Singing Christmas Tree, some 25 feet tall, sporting over 10,000 lights with 12 levels that hold 115 choir members, is a music and drama production written & directed by church members and accompanied by an orchestra featuring songs of the Christmas Season and stunning pageantry. December 6, 2024: Check out the eats at the North Jetty food truck rally. Entertainment, food trucks and games. December 6, 2024: Lakewood Ranch presents  Music on Main: Celebrating the Holidays – Doug Demming & The Jewel Tones will fill the air with rockin’ rhythm and blues and the event will benefit Easterseals Southwest Florida. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short leash. Free admission. December 6, 2024: t's the 46th Annual Holiday Night of Lights on St. Armand's Circle. Holiday Night of Lights” is St. Armand's official “kick off” to the holiday season. The event begins with a special performance at 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Join in with their annual Christmas Carol Sing-a-long beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by “Santa’s Arrival” and the tree lighting ceremony of a 60' tall Christmas Tree. December 7, 2024: It's the 6th Annual Braves Tomahawk 5K, Run a quick 1 mile around the concourse of Cool Today Park! You'll enjoy a rollicking flat course along the roads near the park, a behind the scenes path through the stadium grounds as you make your way to the field. You'll loop around the warning track on field and see your 3rd base finish on the giant 40'X80' JumboTron. Your post race breakfast at the Tomahawk Tiki Bar plus 2 chips for your choice of soda or beer all included with your registration. The Tiki bar will also have Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and the full bar selection available for purchase. Bring the family for a fun day at the park. Additional breakfast buffet tickets will be available to add on during registration. Great looking shirts and custom finishers medals for all! December 7, 2024:  It's the 27th Annual Jingle & Jog 5K Run/Walk in support of The Haven to benefit people of all ages with disabilities. Registration includes race t-shirt, food, refreshments and swag bag. Starting at The Haven’s beautiful campus nestled on 32-acres of lush Florida scenery, participants will experience a smooth course under the canopy of oak trees. Registration: $40. December 7, 2024: Ho, Ho, Ho! Newtown Estates and Laurel Parks are hosting Breakfast with Santa. Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources invites children ages 12 and under and their families to the free Breakfast with Santa event, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy listening to Christmas music, games, arts and crafts as you dine on pancakes, sausage, hot cocoa and orange juice. There will be photo opportunities with Santa, as well as a story time with Mrs. Claus. Don’t forget to write your letter to Santa and give it to the big guy in person! Space is limited. December 7, 2024: It's Manatee County's annual A Night Before Christmas which features Santa and Mrs. Claus. visiting G.T. Bray Park. This year, get ready for an even-better family fun event at the annual Night Before Christmas with newly extended hours, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. This year they are expanding the offerings and holding it at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1402 14th Avenue West, Palmetto, FL.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting and taking professional FREE pictures with the children. December 7, 2024: Soon after the announcement that one of Sarasota-Manatee’s largest annual music festivals, The Bradenton Blues Fest, will not return this year, a new event featuring the former festival’s artistic director has been announced: The Lakewood Ranch Blues Festival. The December 7 line up includes: Danielle Nicole Band, Venessa Collier, Monster Mike Welch, Kat Riggins, Dylan Triplett and Melody Angel. Tickets $75 - $150. December 7, 2024: It's the North Port Poinsettia Parade.  The Poinsettia Parade will start at 5 p.m. and march south down Sumter Boulevard from Sylvania Avenue through the City Center Campus, ending at the Festival (a prime location to catch the parade). Floats adorned with poinsettias, decorated vehicles, and escorted by North Port Fire Rescue, Jolly Ole St. Nick will make a special appearance in the parade. The parade will end at the annual Poinsettia Festival. The Festival will include a tree lighting ceremony and will take place throughout the grounds of the City Center Campus, including on the Front Green and inside City Hall from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.. December 7, 2024: The Venice Christmas Boat Parade starts at 6 p.m. (rain date is the next day) along the Intracoastal Waterway in Venice starting at the Albee Road Bridge in Nokomis and moving south along the waterway with turnaround before the Circus Bridge in Venice. Spectators line the north (at South Nokomis Beach) and south (at North Venice Beach) jetties and throughout the downtown and Venice waterfront areas to the judging area near the south Circus Bridge for a view of the brightly lit and colorfully decorated “Christmas Boats.” 6 p.m. Admission is free. December 7, 2023: TBA for 2024.  Celebrate Chanukah on Main Street with Chabad of Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch! December 7, 2024:The 28th Annual Sarasota Holiday Parade takes place in downtown Sarasota on the first Saturday evening of December. With thousands participating and even more thousands viewing, the parade kicks off at 7 p.m. with decorated floats, live marching bands and the guest of honor "rounding" out the parade, Santa Claus. Telescopes will be set up in the courtyard on the north (river) side of the museum, as well as along the sidewalks on BOTH sides of 10th Street West. But that’s not all! There will be food vendors set up during the event as the Bishop has partnered with the FEWD Taco Tent and the Edible Cookie Dough Café for you to enjoy a bite to eat while observing the universe. Drinks, including beer, wine, soda, and water, will be available for purchase. December 16, 2024: Monday Night Jazz at the Cabaret presents an evening of swinging jazz with the Greg Caputo Sextet in downtown Sarasota at FST's John C. Court Cabaret; First St and Cocoanut Ave, Sarasota. Among others, Caputo has toured with Artie Shaw, Harry James, Phil Woods and The Count Basie Orchestra. The Frosty 5K course will be the wide open road course starting and finishing at Twin Lakes Park, Sarasota, and through the adjacent neighborhood. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome. December 23, 2023: TBA for 2024. It's Winterfest 2023 and Outdoor Candle Light Service. At South Shore Community Church they are planning to throw the block party of all block parties. Winterfest will feature food trucks, inflatables for kids, kids, family activities, and live music. The evening will end with an outdoor Candlelight service starting at 7:15 p.m. as they come together for this special service of celebration, carols, and worship to celebrate Jesus. December 25, 2024: The annual Pinecraft Christmas Parade usually draws over 1,000 spectators to this Sarasota Amish and Mennonite Community for the parade, traditionally held on Christmas afternoon, winding through the neighborhood streets. Started by local resident Mike Miller in 1999, it's the biggest event of the year in the neighborhood. Assemble in parking lot at Der Dutchman restaurant, 3713 Bahia Vista Street, beginning at 1:00 p.m. or right soon after lunch. Parade starts after that about 3 p.m.  Bring a lawn chair for a sidewalk seat. Anyone is welcome to ride in parade. December 26, 2022: TBA for 2024. It's the Siesta Key "Santa Stumble" Pub Crawl hosted by the Block that Roxx in Siesta Key Village. The Beach Club, Siesta Key Oyster Bar, Gilligan's Island Bar, Daiquiri Deck and 3.14 Pi Craft Beer and Spirits. December 28, 2024: Check out Breakfast with the Sharks and start your day with their sharks before the Mote Aquarium opens to the public. You and your chums will have a great time sinking your teeth into a light continental breakfast while you learn about our favorite finned friends and Mote’s breakthrough shark research. During this program, you'll meet our resident sharks, watch a narrated feeding of our bonnetheads, and have all of your shark questions answered.
