The June Sarasota Events Calendar includes the best of the best fun, free (or next to nothing) Sarasota Happenings around Sarasota and the Suncoast.



June 1 - 13, 2026: The Sarasota Orchestra presents The Sarasota Music Festival, A Chamber Musician's Dream Come True. Festival audiences are entertained by a wide variety of symphonic artistry including: Thursday afternoon Artist Showcase concerts, Festival Friday chamber concerts, and Festival Saturday orchestra concerts. Three weeks of thrilling performances, coaching, and masterclasses. From  Rising Stars, Special Recitals, and more, there's lots to take in. For three weeks you can enjoy the best up and coming young musicians from around the world along with chamber music, master classes and concerts. Nearly 500 fellows from top music programs at colleges and conservatories worldwide audition to participate in the Festival each year, but only 60 are accepted. Enjoy classical music at its finest. June 2 - 3, 2026: One of the Annual Summer Events in Sarasota: The Kids Summer Beach Runs are 1-mile beach runs held every Tuesday (June 2 - July 28, 2026) at Siesta Beach on Siesta Key near the pavilion, and every Wednesday (June  3 - July 29, 2026) at Brohard Beach (1400 S Harbor Drive) next to the Venice Fishing Pier, near Fins at Sharky's, Venice. This one-mile fun run for kids is a summer favorite and a great opportunity for families to exercise together and have fun at the beach! Weekly registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with race time at 6:30 p.m. Kids receive a participation ribbon at each run. Event listing courtesy of June Sarasota Events on Escape-to-Sarasota.com. June 4 - 6, 2026: Check it out! Laser Light Nights are back at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature! Think concerts, but you’re inside a dome getting blasted with visuals from every angle. And this whole thing runs all summer, Thursdays through Saturdays, with multiple showtimes so you can stack your night. Now the lineup: Classic legends like Queen, The Beatles, and Elton John! Pop icons like Taylor Swift and The Weekend. Rock and alt like Metallica, Foo Fighters, and No Doubt. Special themed nights and throwback shows. Basically, every night hits different, so you can keep coming back and it still feels fresh. Just know it gets loud and flashy, so it’s more of a hype night out than a chill museum stroll. The event takes place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night from May 21 through September 5. There are various food and drink options available for purchase onsite with cash or card. Shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Please note that Laser Light Nights involve bright, flashing lasers that may not be suitable for people with photo sensitivities. Viewer discretion is advised. Laser Light Nights are at a volume similar to a rock concert, so earplugs are recommended for those who prefer a lower volume. Tickets: $15. June 5, 2026: Lakewood Ranch presents Music on Main the first Friday of each month from 6 p.m.  - 9 p.m. Schmitz Brothers Band will fill the air with classic rock, blues, and old-time country and the event will benefit Suncoast AHEPA Chapter 463. Beer, wine and food available. Bring your chairs, but leave coolers at home. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a short leash. Overflow parking is available at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Lakewood Ranch is off University Parkway east of I-75.

June 5, 2026: It's the last one. Fresh Fridays is ending the season with its most energetic celebration yet. Join in for Dance Dance Sarasota, a high-energy summer night filled with music, movement, and nonstop fun in the heart of downtown Sarasota. This final event of the season is all about bringing the community together to dance in the streets, enjoy the warm summer evening, explore local vendors, and make memories with friends old and new. June 6, 2026: Make waves at North Jetty Park with Sarasota County for World Ocean Day! Celebrate our wonderful oceans with a day of environmental education, beach cleanup at 8 a.m. and hourly educational lectures that begin at 8:30 a.m. Become stewards of the environment and work as a team to keep our beaches clean, while enjoying vendors, food trucks and educational lectures. June 7, 2026:  A fan favorite returns to CoolToday Park! Summer Movie Nights will be held at the ballpark on most Sundays in June and July. This movie night is with a showing of "The Sponge Bob Movie: Search for SquarePants!" The movies will be shown on the scoreboard and will begin at 5 PM each night. So be sure to check out all the fun. Tickets: 3 and $7. Parking is free, seats will be available in the seating bowl. No outside food, beverages, or chairs are allowed inside the stadium. Learn, explore, craft, play, snack, and have fun every day! June 11 - 14, 2026: It's the US Rowing SE Youth National ChampionshipsThis event offers opportunities for crews that have qualified from around the country to come together to crown national champions. June 12 - August 8, 2026: The Ringling Museum presents their Summer Circus Spectacular. It's presented in collaboration with The Circus Arts Conservatory of Sarasota. June 13, 2026: The Sarasota County Fire Department (SCFD) is excited to continue its monthly open house events in 2025, inviting the community to connect with their local firefighters and learn about fire safety. These free, family-friendly open houses are held one Saturday each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Car seat safety inspections and bike helmet fittings will also be available. June 13, 2026: Fisherman's Village presents Jazz on the Harbora collaboration with the Charlotte County Jazz Society and the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce. June 19 - 20, 2026: Check out the WBTT's 3rd annual Juneteenth Arts Festival. Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe presents another vibrant celebration of Juneteenth, this year expanding the festivities to two days, starting with an unforgettable evening celebrating Black artistry, culture, history and community. The Festival is FREE and tickets are not necessary. Explore unique goods from local artisans and a variety of flavors from food vendors. June 20 - September 13, 2026: This summer, Selby Gardens is excited to present an indoor and outdoor exhibition featuring the work of legendary American photographer, Lynn Goldsmith, who is renowned for both her celebrity portraits and fine art images. Goldsmith’s exhibition at the Downtown Sarasota campus will combine stunning images of flowers with intimate portraits of Selby Gardens’ artist in residence – Patti Smith. June 20, 2026: Manatee County Animal Welfare (MCAW) will host it's 10th Annual Adopt-A-Palooza, the county's largest one-day dog adoption event at the Bradenton Area Convention Center Meet your match from more than 100 adoptable pets from Manatee County Animal Welfare, local shelters, and rescue partners. Shop and explore with 40+ pet vendors, and don’t miss the excitement of auctions, raffles, and more throughout the day. Whether you’re ready to adopt or just want to join the celebration, there’s something for everyone at this milestone event. June 20 - 21, 2026: See creativity on display at the 33rd annual Downtown Venice Craft Festival. What's featured? June 26 - 27, 2026:  It's “Motors and Moorings Weekend, a two-day celebration featuring island vibes, friendly competition, and meaningful impact benefiting Suncoast Charities for Children. The weekend kicks off with “Lei’d Back For A Great Cause,” a lively luau-themed party Friday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Guests will enjoy tropical lite bites, a signature welcome cocktail, live music, and festive competitions including a limbo contest and a "Best Hawaiian Outfit” competition. A full cash bar will also be available, setting the tone for a relaxed yet vibrant island-inspired evening at Sarasota Event Center at the Sahib Shrine, .600 N Beneva Rd, Sarasota, FL. On Saturday the excitement continues with the “Big Kahuna” Dice Run, held in memory of Noel Speranza, a dedicated board member of Suncoast Charities and motor enthusiast. Participants can join by car, boat, or motorcycle, beginning at Marina Jack and traveling to multiple stops accessible by land or water. At each location, participants will roll a set of three dice to earn points. At the final stop, all location points will be tallied, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three scores. Lunch is included to round out the day. Tickets for the Friday night party are $30 per person, and Dice Run registration is $30 per person. June 28, 2026:  A fan favorite returns to CoolToday Park! Summer Movie Nights will be held at the ballpark on most Sundays in June and July. This movie night is with a showing of "Hoppers." The movies will be shown on the scoreboard and will begin at 5 PM each night. So be sure to check out all the fun. Tickets: 3 and $7. Parking is free, seats will be available in the seating bowl.
