July 1, 2022: Lakewood Ranch presents Music on Main the first Friday of each month from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.! Live music, beer, wine and food available. Scarlet Drive will fill the air with upbeat pop, rock, country, and dance music from the 70’s through today’s hit; the deejay will keep you dancing with today’s Top 100 hits. The street is lined with food vendors, beer trucks, and sponsor booths, as well as rides and activities for the kids. Bring your chairs, but leave coolers at home. July 1 - August 13, 2022: The Ringling Museum presents their Summer Circus Spectacular. It's presented in collaboration with The Circus Arts Conservatory of Sarasota. Journey with them from the jukebox to the iPod as they celebrate the universal language of music! July 2, 2022: It's fireworks at the beach at the Sandbar. Bring your family and friends to Sandbar Seafood & Spirits on July 2 for a Sparkling Good Time! July 2 - 3, 2022: It's 2 days of offshore racing at the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix. The race between million-dollar cigarette boats off one of our finest Gulf of Mexico Beaches is one of the must-see Sarasota events of the year, but no longer directly a part of the Suncoast Summer Fest. You don't need a ticket for the offshore races and you can come as you are. It's smokin' hot! The Sarasota leg of  the Powerboat P1-produced race is the third of eight races in the 2022 American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series. July 2 - 3, 2022: Celebrate Independence Day weekend at the Suncoast's Largest Food Truck Festival! Featuring 30+ Food Trucks (TBA), a Kid's Zone, Free Entry & Free Parking! July 3, 2021: Sunday will feature a full day of racing with P1 AquaX, P1 Offshore and the high-speed Class 1 boats all in action. There will be a new P1 Village fan zone in the Lido Beach parking lot on Sunday complete with vendors including food trucks, a beer garden, merchandise, fun activities,and live music. Lido Beach will also feature P1’s VIP hospitality suite, offering a catered lunch, open bar, lounge seating and televisions to enhance the race viewing experience. Take the kids to Selby's Splashin Saturdays during July and have fun with water activities, water slides and games in the cool shade and around the lagoon and waterfall of the Children's Rain Forest Garden. July 3, 2022: Sarasota: Nathan Benderson Park’s annual July 3 tradition, NBP Fireworks On The Lake returns in 2022. Enjoy live music, family fun and a stunning fireworks display. Classic American fare and drinks available for purchase.  Enjoy a mix of covers from Motown to country to rock from the region’s top bands. Also returning for this year is the Kids Zone, a fun, safe, controlled environment for children to play games and enjoy activities. Runners and walkers alike will enjoy the annual Fireworks 4-Miler On The Lake. The race course winds around the park’s Cooper Creek Lake. The Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. July 3 at the park and WWSB ABC 7, will televise the fireworks as the finale of its Independence Day special at 9 p.m. Monday, July 4. July 3, 2022: As All-American as it gets: Baseball and fireworks! Take in the Marauder's Baseball game along with Fireworks after the game at LECOM Field.  Game time at 6:30 p.m. against the Tampa Tarpons and a post-game fireworks show and free t-shirts for the first 1,500 fans. July 3, 2022: The First Baptist Church of Venice invites you to a beach service celebration to celebrate July 4th as One Nation Under God. It will take place at North Jetty Park, Nokomis Beach, July 3, 2022. You are invited to attend to join in celebrating God and Country. July 4, 2022: Check out the annual Myakka River Kayak Festival with kayaking, live music and craft beers. Kayak and canoe rentals will be available from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. or bring your own. There is no cover charge for entrance. Kayak Fest will have the local band Old Glory playing from 1 p.m - 4 p.m. Restaurant hours will be 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Kayak, Canoe, or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the music, food and drinks! The 4th of July Kayak Festival and live entertainment are weather-permitting. July 4, 2022: Celebrate the Fourth of July with The Choral Artists of Sarasota as they present American Fanfare with rousing songs celebrating America including perennial favorites. A patriotic concert full of choral fireworks celebrating America, the American Dream - liberty and justice for all - forms the cornerstone of this annual performance. The Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble joins Choral Artists in performing. Musical fireworks abound in this annual salute to America! 4:30 p.m. Tickets: $5 - $50. July 4, 2022: Have a Grand Old Time and Celebrate America’s Independence Day, The Fourth of July! The Sarasota Suncoast puts on as festive an occasion as anywhere else. During the long holiday weekend there are events and fireworks displays up and down the coast, from beach to shining beach! All fireworks displays start around dusk, of course, and all can be viewed by land as well as some by sea. (Please note: schedules may change and weather conditions may force cancellation of events.) July 4, 2022: The Sarasota Bayfront Fireworks, organized by Suncoast Charities for Children in partnership with Marina Jack close out the evening celebration around dark. Like most fireworks displays it starts at around 9 pm or close to sun down. July 5, 2022: Sarasota County is looking for volunteers for the 8th Annual Liberty Litter Cleanup. Volunteers will focuses on area beaches hit hardest by the July 4th celebrations. Cleanup efforts will take place from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. at Siesta Key, Lido Beach, South Lido Beach, Nokomis Beach, North Jetty Park, Venice Beach and Blind Pass Beach & Park.

  • All volunteers must register to participate by submitting an individual registration form.
  • If you are part of a group, be sure to note the name of your volunteer group on the registration form and encourage all of your volunteers to register at the same time to secure their volunteer spot at the preferred location.
  • Walk-up volunteers will not be accepted on the day of the event.

The first 100 volunteers to register qualify for FIRST OPTION ACCESS to this year's commemorative Liberty Litter Cleanup T-shirt. July 8, 2022: It's the Free Music Friday Night Concert.with live music at Centennial Park featuring Marcus Magellan. Attendees are asked to follow current CDC guidelines. July 9, 2022: Check out NBP Rec Day! This is a great opportunity for natural sound and family-friendly imagery on the water. For a small fee, children and their parents and siblings can get out on the water with their choice of our equipment, and switch out at their whim — kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, a pedal pontoon boat, even a 15-foot sailboat with captain (masks required). $10 per person. $5 per adult with accompanying child. Free for children ages 6 and younger. Family maximum: $35 (for households of five or more) All must complete the waiver form. July 9, 2022: You're invited to the Summer Concert Series in Circle Park on St. Armand's Circle on select Saturdays from July to September. July 9, 2022: One of the events at the newly named Suncoast Summer Fest, formerly known as the Offshore Racing Festival, is The “Waves & Wheels" Party. The event will feature live music by "Hurricane Shane," one of the Tampa Bay Ultimate Party Bands, which is sure to heat up the dance floor. July 15, 2022: After being canceled for 2 summers because of Covid-19 The Van Wezel's Friday Fest has returned this summer! This Friday Fest will feature Kettle of Fish with the kind of festival music that features blues, soul, and funk with the energy of rock ‘n roll. They make old songs new again, and their originals sound like classics. Kettle of Fish is one of the hottest live acts in southwest Florida. Kettle of Fish is Sarasota Herald-Tribune’s Reader’s Poll winner for “Favorite Band” for 2020, 2018, 2017 and 2016. Free admission. Bring blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. July 17, 2022:  It's a Summer Fling to benefit FANS hosted by C&C Rescue Foundation. Join C&C Rescue Foundation at the American Legion Post 266, as they host a special emergency fundraiser to help Farmhouse Animals & Nature Sanctuary raise funds to replace the fence at that sanctuary. July 18 - 20, 2021: Moved to October for 2022. Check out the 2nd Back to Angola Festival. On the riverfront, you can learn about our region's rich history of Red Bays, Bahamas and the early 1800's community that was known as Angola, near what is now Bradenton Park. Along with live Bahamian music there will also be wood carvers, basket weavers and food vendors selling Bahamian cuisine among others. Hosted by The Oak Tree Community Outreach, the festival is at Manatee Mineral Springs Park in Bradenton. Free admission. July 18 - 24, 2022: The International Dragon Boat Federation Club Crew World Championships are taking place. Opening Ceremony Monday, July 18, 6 p.m. This celebration that includes a procession of teams, performances by the Conservatory and a highwire walk by Blake Wallenda! The traditional Awakening Of The Dragons ceremony will top off this opening of the championships! Racing July 19-24.Racing July 19-24. Vendor Village and FOOD! July 23, 2022:  It's their annual Christmas in July fundraiser for the Anna Maria Island Privateers' Mission of Helping Kids & Community. Come out 'n celebrate Christmas in July by Eat'n, Drink'n, 'n be'n Merry wit' Santa 'n his Privateer Helpers. July 23 - 24, 2022: It's the 11th Annual Mystic Faire featuring everything metaphysical. Billed as the largest psychic fair in southwest Florida it will feature over 75 exhibitors and more than 25 psychics. Hear free lecturers and see psychics, healers and vendors of many kinds. July 24, 2022: A fan favorite returns to CoolToday Park! Summer Movie Nights will be held at the ballpark on most Sundays in June and July  The movie is a showing of the film "Space Jam: A New Legacy." So be sure to check out all the fun. Take the kids to Selby's Splashin Saturdays during July and have fun with water activities, water slides and games in the cool shade and around the lagoon and waterfall of the Children's Rain Forest Garden. July 26 - 27, 2022: One of the Annual Summer Events in Sarasota: The Kids Summer Beach Runs are 1-mile beach runs held every Tuesday (June 7 - July 26) at Siesta Beach on Siesta Key near the pavilion, and every Wednesday (through June 1 - July 27) at Brohard Beach (1600 Harbor Drive) next to the Venice Fishing Pier, near Fins at Sharky's, Venice. This one-mile fun run for kids is a summer favorite and a great opportunity for families to exercise together and have fun at the beach! Weekly registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with race time at 6:30 p.m. Kids receive a participation ribbon at each run. Complete four runs and earn a free custom t-shirt. No runs the week of July 4th. July 30, 2022: It's the Manatee Sunrise Kiwanis club's 3rd Annual Cornhole & Cocktails Festival. Cornhole & Cocktails Festival will have a fun indoor cornhole tournament, music, food, drinks and raffles. There will be restaurants with samples of their food and cocktails along with breweries, wineries and distilleries with samples of their selections! Guests are invited to enter the Veterans Hall located in Palmetto, FL and try as many different food and drink items they wish! MVP Sports and Social Club will be hosting the cornhole tournament for our FUNdraising Festival! All you need to do is sign-up with Chris when you arrive at the event. Registration for the cornhole tournament begins right at 3, so get in early to get registered! This event will be for ages 21 and older. Free parking is available on the fairgrounds 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.!
